1973 AMC Javelin AMX - a muscle pony car made by American Motors Corporation (AMC).. This car has the factory Go Package with the 401 cubic inch displacement (6.6 L) V8 engine with ram air induction along with a 4-speed manual transmission. This car has the optional interior design by fashion designer Pierre Cardin. It features multi-colored pleated stripes in red, plum, white, and silver on a black background. Six multi-colored stripes, in a nylon fabric with a stain-resistant silicone finish, goes up from the front seats, to the doors, onto the headliner, and down to the rear seats. Photographs were taken during the 2017 American Motors Owners (AMO) convention that was held in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. This show was organized by the Potomac Ramblers Automobile Club.
AMC Javelin AMX, a muscle car built by American Motors Corporation (AMC). Originally a sports GT-type two-seater from 1968 to 1970, the AMX name was used from 1971 to 1974 on the top high-performance model of AMC's "pony car" Javelin. This two-door hardtop (no B-pillar) four-passenger car is finished in plum with a white hood T-stripe. It is powered by AMC's 401 cu in (6.6 L) V8 engine backed by a 4-speed manual transmission with a center console mounted Hurst shifter. The interior of this car has the special Pierre Cardin (fashion designer) trim package that was offered as an option only on 1972 and 1973 models.
