Tony Danza draws upon his own real-life experiences in his portrayal of Tony Banta in the ABC Television Network's new comedy series, Taxi, which premieres this fall. In Taxi, which will air TUESDAYS (9:30-10:00 p.m., EDT), Danza plays a driver and part-time prizefighter who often feels he has been defeated by life. In real life, Danza has fought numerous fights as a middlewight.
